Hi Irwing,

I didn't expect to find a big fan of Rohmer in America !
Did you also see "Smoking" and "Not Smoking" ? Two different movies with the same characters and nearly the same story, but a small detail will change the story of the second film compear to the first. Very interesting.

Where do you find theses films in America ? At movie theaters or at DVD clubs ?

Hugues, I really like French movies. There are so many great French film directors. I have not seen Smoking/No Smoking. I see that it is directed by Alain Resnais. I will look for it, althought it does not seem to be available yet in DVD in the US.

I mostly get my movies from online DVD rental businesses like Netflix (http://www.netflix.com/ ). My local library has a very nice video collection. Also, digital cable now has many movie channels, so you can record or "Tivo" (http://www.tivo.com ) them. I do see films in movie houses, but the selection is so much smaller than what is now available through the other channels.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi Irving, I saw this week end "Clara et Moi" on DVD. It is a recent movie, typical french, on the relation between two persons who fall in love. I like the two actors and the action takes part in my quarter in paris !
